About This Spot

Arriving at The Brass Pearl, nestled right in the heart of Knoxville’s Market Square, you’re greeted by an inviting buzz—a calm energy that feels both effortless and intimate. The space marries a touch of maritime charm with warm, polished details that instantly make you feel settled, as if you’ve found a corner of the coast in the middle of the city. It’s a place where the pace slows just enough to savor the moment, whether you’re nestled at the oyster bar or gathered around a cozy table with friends.

The atmosphere is quietly lively, shaped by friendly servers who know their regulars but warmly welcome newcomers with the same care. Glasses clink over conversations, and the soft clatter of shells sets a rhythm that speaks to shared experiences and genuine enjoyment. This is a spot where time feels well spent—not rushed—but enlivened by the subtle hum of discovery and connection.

Here, the food is less about presentation and more about honest flavors that ground you in the season and the sea. Whether it’s the briny thrill of a fresh oyster, the rich comfort of lobster mac and cheese, or the heartiness of a fisherman’s stew, each dish invites you to lean in and savor. The cocktail list complements these plates with creative twists, adding layers to the evening’s unwinding without ever overwhelming it.

The Brass Pearl feels like a rare find, especially in a city not traditionally known for seafood. It’s the kind of place where you can relax into exploring tastes you might not usually expect in Knoxville—every bite and sip reflecting a care for quality and balance. The experience here is quietly rooted in thoughtful hospitality, where the human moments—the easy smiles, the shared recommendations, the attentive touches—linger just as long as the flavors on your palate.

My husband & I enjoyed a delicious lunch. The oysters were fresh. The fish & chips & lobster Mac & cheese were scrumptious. The servers were friendly & attentive. The decor & ambiance are lovely. We absolutely love this place. Prices are reasonable. Only positive things to say & looking forward to returning. Also, their unique cocktail “ship faced” is a delight!

Came here for a drop in late lunch on a Saturday. They had available seats and we were sat immediately. The oysters in all shapes and sizes were amazing, the lobster bisque and fish tacos were awesome too. We will be back in next time we are in town. If you love oysters and fresh seafood, get down to the Brass Pearl and get you some good eats. Came back to Update 7/17/2025 Still as amazing as the last time we dined here. I CANNOT recommend this place enough. Great service, incredible food and the best fried oysters I have ever had. If you are looking for fresh delicious seafood less than 10 minutes from UT this is the place!

Came here on Saturday night, the food was delicious! My partner and I put down 27 oysters in total, they had an awesome selection. Our entrees were also lovely but I think I found my new oyster spot in Knoxville!

When this place opened up on market square, I was honestly doubtful of a seafood restaurant in Knoxville. Little did I know they would prove me so wrong. I can’t believe I waited so long to come here! I’ve been twice now and both times the food and the experience were outstanding. I highly recommend the salmon or the fried shrimp. Both were perfectly cooked and fairly priced. They have an espresso machine as well, and the latte I had was delish. The inside decor is very chic and the staff is very attentive. Don’t miss out on this gem!

our server Cindy made sure my birthday was super special last night! Very attentive to our larger party despite us being a bit of a handful or two we had a blast, thoroughly enjoyed the food, chef recommendations were all on point! The reservation process was easy and our table was ready for us when we arrived. Thank you for such a lovely time!

Seafood place in downtown Knoxville! We tried the Oysters Rockefeller, and steak and fries. Mocktails were not on the menu but they easily made an accommodation. Quality of food, drinks and service were excellent. Very neat atmosphere and decor and highly recommend!

Great place! The calamari is incredibly tasty and this is a place to have delicious drinks, snacks or a full course dinner. They love dogs, very friendly environment. Preston was a nice server, immediately had water for our dogs and gave us a very attentive service.

10/10!!! Let’s start with service, Grace was amazing. She connected with us in more ways than one! She was so happy to explain the food options and insisted that we try each oyster that the restaurant offered. The oysters did not disappoint! It was both mine and my husbands first time ever having raw oysters and I’m so glad we chose The Brass Pearl! I ordered the mahi tacos and my husband had the chorizo and shrimp tacos..WOW!! We were offered the crème brûlée cheesecake and again…amazing. We will be back. No doubt!
